Frequently Asked Questions For Motorcycle Brakes
Resolved Question: Problem bleeding motocycle brakes...can't fill empty line.?
I stupidly tried to bleed my motorcycle brakes w/o properly knowing what I was doing. Long story short, my lines are empty and I'm having troubles filling the line. I've tried vaccum pump but I can't get any line to properly seal around the bleeder nipple. I've tried the reverse bleed with a syringe, but the fluid goes everywhere because i can't get a good seal on the nipple. I've tried the two person method with just fill the master cylinder and squeezing, opening the nipple, and closing it, but there is aboslutley no pressure on the lever, even with fluid in the master cyclinder. anybody know what could be wrong? It's almost as if something is blocking the line and fluid just won't go through but there is about .1% chance of that happening. Can anybody help? Well I was taking the calipers off to change the pads and I disconnected the brake line to the caliper by taking of the bolt, the fluid all came out into a bucket and the master cyclinder emptied so I don't think there is anything wrong with it or the line. That is about the only thing I thing I did to change anything. I noticed that the bolt had a whole in it to allow the brake fluid to go through it from the brake line and I tried to line that up whole with the line, if that even matters. If it does matter, could that cause my problem if it's not completely lined up. And to answer the question, I was doing this because my pads were dragging and I read that if they are too worn it can cause the caliper piston to get stuck out to far, so I decided to change pads to see if it fixed the problem, but now I have a new one. I have left the lever pressed in for a long time...since I push it in and it doesn't come back out on it's own.

Resolved Question: What determines the sound of engine makes when using engine-brake on motorcycle?
When you accelerate the engine makes a sound, but when you use the engine-brake, is another sound. What determines this sound? I'm talking about something like this: I get to let's say 4000rpm and then I release the throtle without pulling the clunch. That is not indicated? It doesn't work like car engine?

Resolved Question: Need to install extra motorcycle lights.?
Hi. I have a 2005 Honda shadow vlx600. I purchased hardbags and they have lights on them, one on each; 9 led bulbs in each light, red lense. I am having to relocate my rear turn signals to the back. So once they are relocated, How do I connect my extra hardbag lights? They have two wires for each light; orangish/brownish one and a green one. They don't have plugin connections like the current brake, turn, running lights have. They have female metal connections. I would like to make them into running/brake lights but am not sure if the wiring is made for that. Maybe just running lights. My manual says the "brake/tail light is 12V-32/3CP (2bulbs)". I also want to replace the stock brake/ tail light with L.E.D. lights. The manual also says "fuses- main-30A, other fuses-15A, 10A", Battery- 12V-8.6 Ah, generator- 0.335 kW/5,000 rpm" I have no idea what that means? But maybe you do. Do I need an accessories outlet, new fuses, What is the easiest fix?
