i just receaved three semi loads of misc items from fishing poles to auto parts, new and used from 50 cases of oil to large electrical genarators i need to to sell quickly or start paying large storage fees. i was thinking of starting a retail outlet store but i have large items such as motor homes drill presses etc, and small items like brand new leather coats, tennis shoes, 500 boxes of spark plug wires. any networking ideas, i think e-bay will be to slow? ideas?
I like cars I mostly started to like cars because of my boyfriend he loves cars. I have a civic and I love to look for body parts to make it look better like I have a front lip, side skirts, Spoiler, fog lights and etc... I love that part making your car your own. I have a integra motor in my car my boyfriend did the swap for me because i wanted a faster car and I love it but it's not even quick anymore once you get used to it so I want something faster. i love doing that stuff but I don't know a whole lot about cars just some stuff I have picked up from hanging out in the garage with the boys. i have basic knowledge i guess you can say i can do an oil change, i know what tools are what. I know more about honda's than any other car. I know a bit about electrical problems with cars since my civic had a lot, lights wouldn't work, wouldn't get spark because of the main relay was no good, and ground problems. I know some stuff about cars and whats under the hood but I have no idea how to fix this stuff.. I just kind of help trouble shoot problems with the guys like suggest things that could be wrong with a car that might be causing it to not start... i have been right a few times but still that's nothing compared to actually being a mechanic. So I don't know if a 1 year course at community college would really prepare me for the apprenticeship at a dealer, should I start out in gas stations changing oil and small jobs like that before applying to dealers? and are dealers pretty good to younger people especially girls that are new to the trade? and is it hard for a girl to find a job at a dealer? i would love to get hired at Honda or Acura but i understand that probably wont happen since I live in a small town. Most of all if there are any girls in this trade how did you know you would like it? I mean it's not like it's a pleasant trade to be in, grease, oil, anti freeze, cold shops, lifting heavy parts, trouble shooting can be stressful, it's time consuming, you might have to put up with the boys giving you a hard time, it hard physical labour.. so how did you decide if it was the right move for you?
im looking for a new or rebuilt motor for my 1995 mitsubishi eclipse... and i cant find anywhere.... any sugestions
I have a 30 gallon air compressor that I built from spare parts. Everything works flawlessly until it reaches 70 PSI on the gauge afterwhich the motor slows to a crawl and then eventually stalls out, tripping the circuit breaker. The motor is a 115/10 AMP 1/2 HP with a capacitor and auto brake which starts and runs very strong until 70 PSI. In order to correct this problem I have swapped it out with a few other motors in the same class that either won't even start or simply just won't run it fast enough. I would like to get a 2 HP air compressor motor from Harbor Freight or a similar outfit but am afraid that the problem lies in my 100 amp service and not in the motor(s). If the thing was lighter I would load it up and try it on another power source. Can anyone advise me if they feel that the stalling issue could be related to insufficient power and not a weak motor? I do not want to invest $130 in a new motor for an air compressor I threw together for less than $20 and still have it stall out. Thanks. Thanks for everyone's responses so far. To provide additional detail, my 100 amp service runs out of the house and goes out about 100 feet to an external garage which is where I'm plugging in the compressor. Speaking with our maint crew at work, they stated that a motor exhibiting a stall out problem like this could be starving for current. I will be loading up the compressor on a dolly and taking it to an outlet right next to the breaker - if this 'fixes' the problem I know I need to run a better line out.
